Meet Mahi, India’s First Light Sport Aircraft – the little plane that’s big on bravery.
The Sinus 912 is eco-friendly, weighs less than a family of four, and is smaller than the average kitchen. It soars like a bird in glide mode, is exceptionally efficient, highly reliable and promises us unmatched views of the Earth.
With these qualities, the WE! Expedition has dubbed her Mahi (which means Great Planet Earth in Sanskrit) – a friend, a guide who is taking us on a never before journey around the world.
On August 7, 2018, Mahi became the first Indian registered Light Sport Aircraft to land in Pakistan!
Getting down to specs!
The Sinus 912 is a pre-molded, composite built, single engine, two seater Light Sport Aircraft with a high wing, tricycle design. A strutless motorglider made for gliding, it has a wing span of 49.1 feet (15 m)!
Powered by the legendary 80hp Rotax 912 4-stroke engine, this little bird can fly around the world in less fuel than required to go to office and back in the same time.
